What does an Administrative Medical Assistant do?

Administrative medical assistants work hard to ensure a medical office runs smoothly for patients and medical professionals. Oftentimes, the administrative medical assistant will be the first person a patient meets when they arrive for an appointment and will be the last person they see to complete their visit.

The administrative medical assistant also helps the medical facility and/or doctor’s office run smoothly, from collecting health insurance information from the patient, scheduling appointments, and updating and filing doctor’s notes.
