Every business and company needs administrative support to help teams around the office with scheduling meetings, documenting information, and executing tasks to help others succeed. That’s where you come in! 

We are excited to offer a free-to-the-participant, 12-week, office administration program in Washington, DC. 


You will learn the ins and outs of the Microsoft Office programs, gain a variety of durable skills through our career development resources and services, and be interview-ready for entry-level administrative jobs and roles around the DC area.

This program is only open to Washington, DC residents at this time.

This Program is being partially funded through the District of Columbia Executive Office of the Mayor - Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development. 

The Office Administration program includes Microsoft Office training (which includes an opportunity to take the Microsoft Office program certification exams),  and career development and support from our coaches:
 

  • Microsoft Office Program certification: 

    • Participants will work on mastering 3 Microsoft programs: 

      • 3 weeks for Microsoft Outlook

      • 4 weeks for Microsoft Word

      • 5 weeks for Microsoft Excel
         

  • 1:1 career support once a participant is placed at a relevant position with a Success Manager.  
     

  • Receive a free laptop and Microsoft Office suite for you to use and keep  during the program.

Application Process

Applicant Requirements

  • You must be 18 years old or older at the time of your application submission.

  • You must live in Washington, DC. Unfortunately, residents in the surrounding areas (Maryland and Virginia) do not qualify. 

  • Must have a valid United States government ID (federal, state, or local). 

  • You must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. You must not have a Master's degree.

  • You are motivated and excited to search for a new job as an Office Manager or Administrative Assistant, after you successfully completed our program.

Applying to the Program

Our application process is a two-step process and should take about 20-30 minutes.

Getting to
Know You

We will ask you the basic eligibility questions to better understand you and how we can support you. We will also request you to present your valid US government ID to show you are a current Washington, DC resident.

 Interview

If you're eligible for the program, the application will then take you to the digital behavior questions and interview process. You will have to answer a set of digital and computer skills-related questions and schedule a 15-20 minute live interview through Calendly.

 

These scheduled interviews will take place on Zoom. During this phase, you will be asked questions about your employment experience and why you are interested in our program.
